As a Rotary Club we are very proud to make Kamloops’ largest event sustainable. Our hard working volunteers diligently ensure that all products coming into the park can be recycled as they leave the park.

How can you help?
1. Volunteer! Sign up here to help the Sustainability Team
2. Sort your waste at the event!
3. Bring your own reusable items to Ribfest, including a cup, cutlery and straw.
4. Spread the word! Talk to your friends and family about how to be more sustainable at Ribest and everyday.
What to Expect at Ribfest Weekend
4 Bin Types at Public Waste Sorting Stations:
- Compostable: all food waste, soiled and clean paper products, compostable food containers, soiled and waxed cardboard
- Refundable: anything with a deposit.
- Recyclable: items accepted by the City of Kamloops recycling program
- Further Sorting Bucket and/or Landfill
In 2024, we diverted 95% away from the landfill with a total of 16,682 kg recycled in many different streams!
